Okay, so it was a crappy movie (which I watched for the first time the other day).

At least Robert Downey, Jr. was cute, 

and Molly Ringwald's hair was good incentive to do a color piece.

I started this with John Baldessari's photo constructions as inspiration. The round table of my friend Krissy's junior high lunchroom called to mind a magician's hoop, so I cut the original drawing (of the table and the students) in sections and shifted them around to add the magician's assistant floating through the hoop.
